In the scorching summer of 2022, Allstar Communications surprises with its collaboration with Lantingyong in Guangzhou to promote the concept of conveying the true, authentic taste of Sichuan cuisine. Lantingyong has officially opened on July 22 which introduced Executive Chef Lan Guijun’s philosophy to Guangzhou, combining the inclusiveness of the commercial port with the style of Cantonese cuisine to convey true, authentic taste.  It’s not your typical Sichuan restaurant but a well-crafted culinary experience, a harmonious integration of exquisite dishes, classic art, oriental lifestyle, and a spirited vision to link the world with food and culture.

兰亭永主厨,兰桂均先生,师从川菜大师张中尤,从业近四十年,载誉等身。享有成都米其林最高二星殊荣,是蜂网煎饺和泡椒凤爪创始人,亦是全球十佳中餐厅和年度中餐大厨获奖者。

Trained under Sichuan cuisine master Zhang Zhongyou, Chef Lan Guijun has passionately cultivated his career in the culinary industry for almost 40 years. As the creator of Crispy Wing Dumplings and Chicken Feet with Pickled Pepper, he has received numerous distinguished accolades including two Michelin stars, highest in Chengdu, 10 Top Chinese Restaurants of the World, and Chinese Chef of the Year.

东山锡安园 Xi’an Garden

建筑位于越秀东山新河浦,广州城市的文化地标。兰亭永团队以本真、自然、朴实的方式,活化了这栋20世纪20年代的混凝土框架建筑——锡安园。使用来自北方的麻石、汉白玉石和南方的火山岩、砚台石、铁力木等传统材料,几乎全部釆取手工作业处理。天、地、墙和户外园林的打造,秉承在汲取传统灵感的同时保有现代的精致细节。

Nestled in the time-honoured cultural district of Xinhepu in Yuexiu, Guangzhou, Lantingyong has revitalised this 1920s concrete frame villa in its most natural and unpretentious form. Retro building materials like granite, white marble, volcanic rock, inkstone and Ceylon ironwood are thoughtfully designed and carefully treated by hand. The ceiling, the floor, the hall walls and the garden yard all draw inspiration from tradition while exuding modern and sophisticated detailing.

兰亭永共分为三层,一层大厅以展厅形式供客赏阅,二层为餐厅本部主要中心空间,三层天台巧用构思,宽敞的露天空间供客人恬趣休闲放松使用。

Lantingyong is spread out over three stories: the ground floor serves as a showroom lobby, the first floor is the main dining area, and the second floor offers a spacious terrace for guests to relax.

兰亭永之器 Tableware

同兰桂均先生对待食物的热爱和信念一样,兰亭永所用之器物「永」亦倾心打造。兰亭永主理人与隈Life一道,与陶瓷、大漆、金工、髹缮等数位手作人、工作室合作,连手打造以「永」为铭的器物,所有「永」的器物原型大部分源自主理人家族收藏的唐宋古器。

Much like Mr Lan’s avid love and affection for food, the tableware used in Lantingyong are made with the same dedication. Together with a celebrated curator V-Life, Lantingyong collaborates with renowned craftsmen and studios in ceramics, lacquer, goldsmithing and painting to create the Yong collection tableware, with most of the prototypes coming from the owner’s collection of ancient vessels from Tang and Song dynasties.

Delving into traditional Sichuan cuisine while fusing global culinary treasures, the owner-chef Lan Guijun approaches his dishes with unique insights and entire devotion. Lantingyong is a novel twist on Lan Guijun’s Michelin-starred restaurant Yu Zhi Lan, but the twin’s essential charm is evidently the same.
