Shanghai – 102 House Shanghai

Allstar Communications has joined hands with 102 House Shanghai in November 2021 to present the ancient Guangfu banquet cuisine from Foshan in Shanghai.  

102 House Shanghai was founded in Foshan. In 2006, the manager Yao Min and the Chef Xu Jingye jointly opened it in a private house in an alley in Chancheng District, Foshan. The restaurant won the “Essence of Asia” award in 2021. Manager Yao Min and chef Xu Jingye adhere to the original intention of spreading the taste of traditional Cantonese cuisine and Lingnan culture from Foshan, and brought 102 House to Shanghai in the summer of 2021. The Shanghai store is located in the Roosevelt Building at No. 27 on the Bund. The overall concept continues the concept of “small but refined” in Foshan 102, providing a total of four private dining rooms and three seating tables.

Chef Xu Jingye is a native of Foshan. He has studied Cantonese cuisine under the tutelage of Mr. Chen Daben. Inspired by Japanese kaiseki cuisine, Chef Xu applied its spirit to the characteristics of Cantonese cuisine with seasonal ingredients and seasonings, combined with his own concept of Cantonese cuisine “clean, fresh, refreshing, tender and smooth”, and created a set of ” “Using seasonal vegetables and highlighting the original taste of ingredients” is the soul of the four seasons menu, which inherits and revives the timeless Cantonese banquet dishes.

During the cooperation, the restaurant won two stars in the 2023 Shanghai Michelin Guide, sommelier Demi Lei won the Sommelier Award; the restaurant  was awarded one diamond restaurant the 2023 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, and Chef Xu Jingye won the Young Chef Award.
